He married Bertha Winemiller about 1904. (Bertha Winemiller is #520.) Bertha was born Dover Twp., York Co., Pa September 1885. Bertha was the daughter of Noah F Winemiller and Josephine Lamison. Bertha died 1963 at 77 years of age.

James Sweeney and Bertha Winemiller had the following children:
